Who we are
A technology company, based in Kenya
EmmOrita Digital Intelligence is a technology company that designs, builds and maintains websites, digital systems and software for organisations and professionals. We are based in Kenya and work with clients internationally, remotely, across time zones.
We work with companies, firms, institutions and non-profit organisations that need a digital presence built around how they actually operate, and with individual professionals who need a portfolio that does justice to their work. Alongside this, we build our own software products aimed at specific problems in particular fields, and we advise organisations on what to build before they spend money building it.

How a project runs, start to finish

Discovery
We establish what the project needs to achieve, and agree the scope in writing before any build begins.

Architecture
We plan the structure and data, choose the technology, explain the reasoning, and set the timeline.

Build
We develop against the agreed plan. A staging link is available from the first week, with a written update each week.

Review
We test against the scope for function, responsiveness, accessibility, performance and browser behaviour, and correct what needs it.

Launch
We deploy, secure, configure and hand over the system with all credentials and documentation.

Management
Ongoing upkeep, available to every client and recommended, for as long as you want it.

What we guarantee on every engagement
A 60-day warranty
Any defect in delivered work reported within 60 days of launch is fixed at no charge.
Full ownership
You own the code, the content, the domain, the data and the accounts. There is no charge for leaving.
A published build standard
Accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA, and Core Web Vitals within recommended limits, on every site.
A named contact
One person is responsible for your engagement from start to finish.
How we are set up
A small core team, held to one standard
We run a small core team with clear responsibility, and bring in vetted specialists for particular projects as the work requires. Whoever is contributing, each engagement has one named person accountable for it.
The team grows as the company grows. We add people when the volume and nature of the work calls for it, and everyone we bring in is held to the same standard. Our aim is to widen the range of what we can do well before we widen how much we take on.

Investing in people and in ideas
We invest in capable people and in ideas worth building. This works in two directions.
Talent placement
We find, assess and place skilled developers and technical people with organisations that need capability they cannot recruit directly or do not need permanently. Candidates are assessed against the same engineering standards we hold our own work to, so an organisation receives people who have already been evaluated against real criteria before they reach you. It gives organisations capability when they need it, and gives skilled people access to serious work.
Innovation support
We help individuals and small teams with a strong technical idea turn it into something that works, through mentorship, architecture guidance, development support, and, where the idea justifies it, direct involvement in building it. Plenty of sound ideas go nowhere because no one builds them well. Where we can supply the execution, we do.
