Services

Our work falls into four areas that support one another. We build websites and digital systems, we develop our own software products, we advise on technology decisions, and we manage what we deliver once it is live. A project can begin in any one of them. Most begin with a website or a piece of advice, and continue into management.

01

Web & Brand

Websites, portfolios and digital systems

Organisation websites

Websites for companies, firms, institutions and non-profit organisations, built around the audience, the purpose and the way the organisation works. The build covers structure, design, content management, enquiry handling, analytics, search setup, and connection to any tools already in use.

Professional portfolio websites

A portfolio website for an individual professional in any field. Its job is to let the right person, arriving with limited time and other options open, understand your work and decide you are worth contacting. It usually covers a profile, selected work, credentials and publications, the services you offer, testimonials, and a clear way to get in touch. We also set it up to be found when someone searches your name and field.

Web applications & digital systems

Custom web applications and internal systems built around how an organisation actually works: dashboards, portals, management systems, client-facing tools and internal software.

Also part of a build

  • E-commerce. Product catalogues, carts, checkout and payment.
  • Booking and reservation systems. Availability, scheduling, confirmations and payment.
  • Search engine optimisation. Technical SEO, page structure and search performance.
  • Generative engine optimisation. Structuring your information so AI systems can identify and represent it correctly.
  • Automation and integrations. Connecting systems and removing manual steps.
  • Hosting and migrations. Deployment, domain setup, and moving systems between platforms without loss or downtime.
  • Performance optimisation. Improving the speed and technical health of an existing site.

Capabilities

What we can build into a site or system

These sit inside a project rather than beside it. Each one is built to the same standard as the rest of the work.

E-commerce

Online stores with product catalogues, carts, secure checkout and payment integration, built to handle real order volumes.

Booking & reservation systems

Systems that manage availability, take bookings, send confirmations and handle payment, for businesses that run on appointments or reservations.

Search engine optimisation (SEO)

The technical and structural work that helps a site rank in search: clean markup, sensible structure, fast pages and content that answers what people are searching for.

Generative engine optimisation (GEO)

Structuring and presenting your information so that AI systems can find it, understand it, and describe your organisation accurately when someone asks. A newer discipline, and one we apply to our own site as well as our clients'.

Automation & integrations

Connecting the tools an organisation already uses, and removing repetitive manual steps by linking systems and third-party services through their APIs.

Hosting & migrations

Deployment and hosting setup, domain and DNS configuration, and moving an existing site or system to a new platform without losing data or going offline.

Performance optimisation

Diagnosing and fixing what makes an existing site slow, improving load times and Core Web Vitals, and tidying the technical health of the site.

Consultancy

Advice on what to build, before you build it

Organisations often commit budget to building the wrong thing. A technology assessment costs a fraction of a build and frequently changes what the build should be. Our consultancy is kept separate from what we sell: the recommendation at the end of an assessment is the one we believe is correct. Sometimes that means building something new. Sometimes it means buying an existing product, keeping the system you already have, or bringing in another company for the job. We tell you what we would do in your position.

Technology assessment

We look at your current systems, how work moves through them, the people using them, where your data lives, your integrations and your security, and the cost of the present arrangement. The result is a written recommendation: what to build, what to buy, what to keep, what to retire, in what order, and roughly what it costs.

Architecture review

A review of the structure of a planned or existing system, with written findings and recommendations.

Vendor & platform evaluation

An independent comparison of the options against what you actually need, with a documented basis for the decision.

Technology strategy

Longer-term planning for organisations deciding how their systems should develop over the next one to three years.

04

Management

Keeping systems working after launch

A website or system needs attention after launch. Dependencies age, security needs patching, content changes, performance drifts, and requirements grow. Management covers this ongoing work so it is handled steadily and problems are caught early. It is optional. You own your system outright and can host and maintain it yourself, or have anyone else do so.

What management covers

  • Hosting, monitoring and uptime
  • Security updates and dependency patching
  • Automated backups and tested restoration
  • Performance monitoring and optimisation
  • Content updates and changes
  • Analytics reporting
  • Technical support with defined response times
  • Ongoing improvement of the system over time

Labs

Software we build and run ourselves

Labs is where we build our own software. A product starts as a problem we see come up again and again across the organisations we work with, where the existing tools handle it poorly or not at all. We build a small number of products and give each one proper attention. Products carry documented interfaces, a stated uptime commitment, and the ability to export your data at any time. Our current products are listed here as they launch.

Our first products are in development.

06

Pricing

Quoted on the work, not from a list

We quote each project on its own terms, because what clients need varies widely and a fixed price list would misrepresent most of the work. A single-page portfolio and a custom booking platform are different pieces of work, and a fair price for one would misprice the other. When you get in touch, we talk through what you need, then send a written quote setting out the scope, the timeline and the cost.

What shapes a quote is the size and complexity of the work, the number of integrations, how much content is involved, and the timeline. Every engagement, whatever its size, comes with a written scope, milestone-based payment, the published build standard, full ownership at handover, and the 60-day warranty.
