Who we are
EmmOrita Digital Intelligence is a technology company based in Kenya, working with clients internationally. This policy covers personal information we collect through this website. Work carried out under a client contract is covered by that contract.
What we collect
We only collect what we need in order to reply to you and to keep the site working.
- Information you send us through the enquiry form: your name, email address, organisation if you give one, what you need, your rough timeline, and your description of the project.
- Information you send us directly by email, phone or messaging, which we keep with the enquiry it relates to.
- Basic technical information generated when a page is requested, such as the page requested and the time of the request, used to keep the site secure and available.
We do not ask for special category data, and we ask you not to send financial details, passwords, credentials or confidential documents through the enquiry form.
Why we hold it
We use enquiry information to reply to you, to prepare a written quote, and to keep a record of the conversation if it becomes a project. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Anything set is strictly necessary for the site to function.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to two years so we have context if you come back to us, and are then deleted. Records connected to a project are kept for as long as the contract and our legal obligations require.
Sharing
We share personal information only with the service providers that operate this site and our email, and only so far as needed to deliver the service. They act on our instructions. We disclose information otherwise only where the law requires it.
Security
Enquiries are stored in an access-controlled database, transmitted over an encrypted connection, and readable only by the people at EmmOrita who need them.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We respond within one month.
